\u00a0<\/span>On May 29 and 30<\/b>, the leading event in the field of microelectronics and semiconductors\u00a0SEMIEXPO<\/b>\u00a0Russia 2018<\/b>\u00a0was held\u00a0at\u00a0Expocentre\u00a0Fairgrounds. This year, within the framework of the exhibition, a two-day program of diverse business events took place: from conferences on various aspects of business development in Russia and to the first in Russia\u00a0SEMI Member Forum<\/b>, which became the premiere of this year. More than a thousand\u00a0of\u00a0professional specialists, students of specialized\u00a0universities\u00a0in Russia and foreign experts\u00a0attended the exhibition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants from Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, the USA, the Czech Republic, France, Japan, Singapore, Belarus, Taiwan and Slovakia attended on\u00a0the\u00a0exhibition. Traditionally, such companies as KBTEM-OMO, EBARA, SVCS, SPS Europe, Dipole, SKTO\u00a0Promproekt\u00a0and\u00a0many\u00a0others participated with booths.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The conference program began on\u00a0May 29<\/b>\u00a0with the speech of Alexey\u00a0Volostnov\u00a0(Frost & Sullivan) delivering\u00a0an overview of the current state and prospects for the development\u00a0of microelectronics in Russia and globally. Experts from Future Horizons, PJSC “Mikron”, Eureka, SKTO\u00a0Promproekt\u00a0also participated in the first\u00a0conference session. Prior to the\u00a0presentation, Gulnara\u00a0Khasyanova, General Director of PJSC “Mikron”,\u00a0noted,\u00a0“Today\u00a0the microelectronics industry is in a phase of serious changes around the world, changing to the needs of the digital economy”.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The first in the history<\/b>\u00a0of the exhibition\u00a0SEMI Member Forum<\/b>\u00a0attracted a record number of\u00a0delegates. The speakers of the Forum were Stefan Kester (Shenker\u00a0AG), Joachim\u00a0Ludvig\u00a0(COLANDIS GmbH), Alexey\u00a0Volostnov\u00a0(Frost & Sullivan) and Vladimir Krupnik (Crocus Nano Electronics).\u00a0CEO &\u00a0Founder\u00a0of\u00a0Future Horizons – Malcolm Penn, moderated the Forum. Forum members\u00a0discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the Russian microelectronics industry and the global community. Stefan Kester noted that the city of Dresden, where the\u00a0European\u2019s largest microelectronics\u00a0cluster is located, intends to continue cooperation both with the exhibition and with the Russian industry. Joachim Ludwig evaluated the prospects of the local market as positive, but also\u00a0noted\u00a0that\u00a0“Russian market needs the latest technologies and solutions.” During the Forum, the speakers directly communicated with the audience, answered questions. Four leading experts offered their direct support in the development of the Russian startup\u00a0project\u00a0to the young scientist.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On May 30<\/b>, the business program of the event\u00a0was focused\u00a0on export prospects. Mikhail Feldman (“CRI Electronics”), Dmitry\u00a0Politov\u00a0(VEB-Innovations), Marat\u00a0Korovaev\u00a0(Russian\u00a0Export Center) and many\u00a0others\u00a0participated\u00a0in the session. Listeners\u00a0highly estimated\u00a0the speech of Frank\u00a0Salzgeber\u00a0(European Space Agency),\u00a0devoted\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0\u201cSpace solutions\u201d topic.\u00a0The presentation was dedicated to the development of technologies and the application of space technologies in everyday life. Frank became the key figure of the session, gathering around\u00a0him\u00a0the largest number of interested professional\u00a0audience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also within the\u00a0SEMIEXPO<\/b>\u00a0Russia 2018\u00a0<\/b>was\u00a0for the first time\u00a0held\u00a0<\/b>MEMS-Forum 2018<\/b>. MEMS-Forum for its long history has acquired the status of an international conference, which annually becomes the leading event on the topic of microsystems in Russia and CIS countries.\u00a0Chief Operations Officer\u00a0of RAMEMS Denis Urmanov\u00a0noted:\u00a0“This year MEMS-Forum 2018 on the basis of SEMIEXPO, allowed taking a broader look at the subject of sensors and systems based on MEMS and other principles of operation. A distinctive feature of the event was the wide coverage of digital sensory solutions for security, construction, precision farming, medicine, housing and communal services and many other areas. At the same time, an important moment in the reports of all the speakers was the fundamental possibility of manufacturing the described devices in Russia and the focus on the development of the Russian market in the first place. It is gratifying that we are already able to produce the most modern small-size “smart” sensors competitive both on the domestic and foreign markets. I hope that in 2019, together with\u00a0SEMIEXPO<\/b>\u00a0RUSSIA<\/b>, we will be able to present new developments based on Russian breakthrough technologies at the Forum. This will contribute positively to strengthening the status and prestige\u00a0of Russia in the world market”.\u00a0The MEMS-Forum 2018 within the framework of\u00a0SEMIEXPO<\/b>\u00a0Russia 2018<\/b>\u00a0was devoted to topical issues of the development and production of modern MEMS sensors and sensory solutions. Special attention was paid to the areas of application of high-tech sensors (smart cities, Industry 4.0, digital economy, etc.). The forum was a huge success, thus reinforcing its annual presence in the business program of the exhibition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the young industry\u00a0specialists, the Annual All-Russian Competition of Scientific and Technical Projects “Innovative Radioelectronics”\u00a0was held\u00a0on Science & Technology ARENA and Networking Area on May 29-30. The Central Research Institute of Electronics with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and leading representatives of the electronic industry –\u00a0Kraftway, Radar MMS, NIIMA Progress, SRI Scale, Baikal-Electronics,\u00a0etc, holds the competition.\u00a0Science & Technology ARENA was\u00a0Sponsored\u00a0by Crocus NanoElectronics.\u00a0Participants have\u00a0demonstrated\u00a0prototypes or presentations of their projects\u00a0at their booths, and the expert jury made\u00a0its decision. The members of the competent jury were Dmitry\u00a0Politov\u00a0(VEB-Innovations) and\u00a0Malcolm Penn (Future Horizons).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SEMIEXPO<\/b>\u00a0Russia 2018 Gala Reception Dinner<\/b>\u00a0was held at the Bosco Fresh &\u00a0Bar on the\u00a0Red Square where exhibitors and\u00a0guests were able to communicate in an informal\u00a0atmosphere and share their impressions of the event. The sponsor of the evening was international company Green Technology Investments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
